Beaches closed to swimming and wading at Ambleside, Whytecliff and Sandy Cove

Jul 31, 2018

Vancouver Coastal Health has closed Ambleside Park, Whytecliff Park and Sandy Cove beaches due to a high E. coli count contaminating the water.

Please do not swim or wade in these waters until the closure notice is lifted.

Water quality at Dundarave Park beach is safe and it remains open at this time.

The next water quality results will be available on Thursday, August 2, and an update will be provided at that time.

Signs have been placed at the beaches to remind visitors that the beaches are closed to swimming. Please respect the warning for your own safety, as swimming in these waters could result in illness and infection.

Residents of the North Shore can call the Vancouver Coastal Health Environmental Health line or visit their website for more information.
